New Management Takes Over At Ibom Hotel And Golf Resort

A New management has been put in place for the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, with the appointment of a Dutch national, Ronald Stilting, as the general manager.
This was contained in a press release yesterday, by the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, made available to Weekend Pioneer by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Charles Udoh.
A professional hotelier with a Masters degree in Hotel Management from a leading college in Maastricht, Netherlands (1983), Stilting has been active in Africa since 1998.
“An action plan is being developed and first steps have already been taken to improve the hotel and its marketing, such as the new website with modern features at www.ibomgolfresort.com”, the release reads in part.
According to the release, the new general manager strongly believes that Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort is a property with great potentials, which can be re-positioned to reach its former glory and is therefore developing an action plan with top priority to improve the hotel and its marketing.
From the release, it was also gathered that the first events and developments by Stilting which will soon be launched, will include: improving the golf course, tournaments, conferencing, a facelift for the hotel and  new concepts.
It is worthy to note that, the newly appointed Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort manager was instrumental to the opening and operation of numerous Five Star hotels in Africa and is intimately familiar with the Continent.
In Nigeria, Stilting opened The Lilygate Hotel in Lagos and in 2017, did the near impossible by opening the largest hotel and conference centre in Liberia, where he successfully hosted the ECOWAS Summit.
Strong in both operational management and marketing, Stilting has always established good guest satisfaction, including trip advisor ratings.
